Mesa Chilena Privacy Policy

1. Summary

Mesa Chilena is a privacy-first app. It does not require user accounts, does not ask for personally identifiable information and works offline to browse its catalog of 450 recipes.

2. Information we do NOT collect

• We do not ask for names, email addresses, phone numbers or home addresses.
• We do not track your precise location, in the foreground or in the background.
• We do not access your contacts, camera, microphone or photo library.
• We do not use invasive behavioral analytics SDKs or third-party telemetry platforms.

3. Data stored on your device

The app stores only the following, in your iPhone's local storage (UserDefaults and the app's files):

• Favorite recipes: the list of saved recipe identifiers.
• Shopping list: items and ingredients you add by hand or from recipes.
• Interface preferences: default text size and the keep-screen-on setting for Cooking Mode.
• In-app purchase status: the local StoreKit 2 receipt for the non-consumable "Mesa Chilena Sin Anuncios" purchase.

This data stays only on your device and is deleted if you uninstall the app or tap "Borrar datos locales" (Delete local data) in Settings.

4. Advertising and monetization

• Free version: shows non-personalized banners and short interstitial ads served through Google Mobile Ads. There is no cross-app tracking, and the App Tracking Transparency permission is not requested because no user profiling takes place.
• Ad-free version (one-time purchase): buying the non-consumable product through Apple StoreKit 2 permanently turns off all ads and ad network requests. Payments are processed only by Apple, under Apple's own security and privacy terms.

5. System permissions

• Local notifications: requested only if you choose to turn on a sound alert for the Cooking Mode timers. These notifications are created on the device, without external servers.
• Keeping the screen awake: the screen stays on only while Cooking Mode is active, and only if that option is enabled in your preferences.
